The weightlifting is an Olympic sport that involves lifting a barbell loaded with discs, from the floor to above the head and outstretched arms, in two ways: Snatch and Clean & Jerk.

Weightlifting develops: Strength, speed, flexibility, agility, Psychomotor (refined technique), Strategy in competition, Dietetics (weight control and sports performance), neurological Skills (will, attention, concentration …)

That is why the weightlifting is the basis of the physical preparation of most elite athletes, and should be part of the training programs of any athlete.

During the Arnold Classic Europe the Catalan Weightlifting Federation organizes:

  • Ibérico Máster Championship
  • Cataluña Sub-15 Championship
